Karl Boberg at Deephaven Elementary decided to initiate an opportunity to allow teachers to connect during lunch time. We spend so much of our days at the elementary level interacting directly with students, but not getting a chance to connect with our colleagues.
Anyone who has a lunch block that falls between 11:30am-12:30pm (which is a high percentage of the staff) is able to participate by bringing items to share.
The classroom space "host" rotates, so each week the lunch is in a different location. As you can see, these Deephaven teachers are not messing around....Instant Pots? Chocolate Krispie bars? What....?
Looks like another win for Minnetonka teachers to make the workday just a little more enjoyable. Thank you to Deephaven and Karl Boberg for sharing this idea! Maybe your school is next to start a weekly meal gathering?!
