Minnetonka Educators Dare to Lead

What makes a Daring Leader in our world today?  And, can courage be taught?  According to Dr. Brené Brown, research professor and best selling author of The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Dare to Lead, leadership can indeed be taught, measured and observed. Brené has spent two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. She most recently completed a seven-year study on courageous leadership and defines it as:

"Anyone who holds him or herself accountable for finding potential in people and processes."

This Fall, Minnetonka Staff have started their own courageous leadership journey by exploring the 4 pillars of courage.  These include:

1. Rumbling with Vulnerability
2. Living Into Our Values
3. BRAVING Trust
4. Learning To Rise

Staff will meet over the course of 16 hours and upon successful completion of the training, become Dare to Lead certified.

  1. What an amazing opportunity for our staff! Will there be more opportunities to join in this work later in the year?
